The
SOG (Standard Operating Guidelines) section of our
website is brand new. We are in the process of
rolling out new SOG
's and as we train on each new SOG we will be adding it
to the site.
Standard
Operating Guidelines give fire and EMS personnel a
guideline to help us provide consistent, high quality
emergency services for a variety of different
situations.
Rather
than using SOP's (or Standard Operating Procedures), we use
guidelines. As every emergency we deal with has
many variables, we need a guideline to follow which is
informative yet flexible as opposed to a procedure which
is a rigid set of rules to follow. Our guidelines
give us a standard to work from.
This
section of our website is mainly for the use of the
members within our department. It is an online
resource for our personnel to use for training purposes.
However, if you are affiliated with another service,
please feel free to review our guidelines if you wish.
