GENERAL
There
shall be no information released to anyone for any
reason concerning FIRES, RESCUES, AUTO ACCIDENTS, EMS
RUNS, or ANY OTHER TYPE OF RUN.
We are
required by law to maintain confidentiality concerning
runs, unless a person or persons have good reason to
review our record of the run.
We have
to provide information when properly requested.
The only persons who can authorize information to
be released are the Officers.
During
the course of a run, and while still on scene, and
someone is approached by the News Media, the COMMANDING
OFFICER will be the only person authorized to release
any information. This information should be general in nature only, giving NO
SPECIFICS. If
the COMMANDING OFFICER feels uncomfortable giving out
any information, advise the Media that we have NO
COMMENTS AT THIS TIME.
